BLUE DIAMOND, Nev.—ARCO and its parent company BP are donating a solar SUV buggy to the Nevada Division of State Parks. Governor Jim Gibbons and personnel from the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park June 18 to accept the vehicle from the energy company.
“We are extremely grateful for this donation to the state of Nevada,” said Dave Morrow, administrator for the Division of State Parks. “This vehicle will be a tremendous asset to help manage the 520 acres at Spring Mountain Ranch. We will be using it to help maintain the park, for demonstrations at the Earth fair and for educational purposes to the numerous school groups that visit the ranch.”
“BP is thrilled to offer this contribution to the State Parks of Nevada,” said Frank Hernandez, BP’s VP Government and Public Affairs. “We’re pleased to see this unique vehicle put to such good use.”
