State engineer’s water ruling will aid waterfowl and other wildlife (RGJ)

FALLON, Nev.–Ruling No. 5759 by Nevada state engineer Tracy Taylor is, in the opinion of many waterfowl enthusiasts, a landmark decision.

That’s because it really is. In a nutshell, Taylor’s ruling, dated Aug. 14, will ultimately increase the amount of water — in perpetuity — for waterfowl and other wildlife that live and depend on the major marshland environments in Lahontan Valley.
